More Experiments with Navicat

ok! Hello I want to apologize to myself for not posting earlier. I've been too busy lately preparing for our next PEIMS submission.

It's been bugging me for a while now that I can't get Navicat to do automatic pulls of my tables successfully all the time. I've tried adjusting the timing to different parts of the day with no consistent success.

The most optimal, but still not acceptable, time is just before, during and just after lunch.

So what could be causing it to stall and ultimately not completely load my tables?
Could ODBC drivers from CA-Datacom be the culprit?

Well, the next thing I'm going to do is take Apache off the switch and plug it straight to the wall, bypassing the little CISCO switch to see if it's that.

As I was doing that, I shutdown my machine (sorry, Nina). I forgot she was busy doing her thing with the intersession module. October 2008 Intersession.

So, of course, she calls to find out what's up with Apache. I told her it wasn't apache, it was all me. So now apache is up and running and Nina is happy.

I'm off to go into Navicat and reenable the schedules on importing my tables!! Wish me luck!

Years from now...

...so I'm coming to my house... it still tickles when the BID module scans me... I got it installed about 3 weeks ago... the salesman got tired of calling it a Bio-scanning IDentifier and started calling it a BID for short... I like it, and the way it tickles my medulla oblongotta...

TMISD Technology Day update

Hello... well I'm done with the second session and I'm ready for lunch! After lunch, I'll do a session on Blogs... mmm... where can I find a blog... oh wait! here's one!

My stomach just sent me an email, so I gotta go now...

I'm setting this up for the training tomorrow. Tomorrow is Technology Day at TMISD (http://www.tmisd.esc2.net) and we're excited about it.

I am going to discuss blogs and how they can be used in education. Using a package called Nucleus, I am going to show how one can set up an internally hosted blog system. I will also show this blog system if it will make it through our filter...
